Job description.

As a Social Media Marketing Assistant, you will be planning, developing, creating and evaluating content for the business. You will be working to create engaging content for both a Men’s underwear company predominantly targeted at the gay market and also a homeware & plant store so your days will always be different depending on which campaign you are working on. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in both roles.

This role offers the choice of position, either a part time 16 hour role OR a full time position.

Your job responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):

  • Brainstorming new and creative ideas
  • Content production (images, videos, design – the ability to create material is essential)
  • Idea generation
  • Managing and supporting on photoshoot days
  • Copywriting
  • Scheduling
  • Account Management
  • Audience Growth work
  • Researching and coming up with content ideas (for digital and traditional channels)
  • Innovating and presenting new content, digital and social media strategies
  • Implementing and supporting content marketing strategies including social media, website, blog, SEO and more
  • Driving traffic to company pages
  • Uploading and editing content on their website
  • Developing engaging online content including videos, graphics, and written copy
  • Keeping abreast of new social media sites, technologies, and digital marketing trends and insights; implementing these new technologies and insights in developing campaign
